Team Coaching & Facilitation

Where leadership teams do their best thinking.

Custom-designed facilitation for offsites, strategic conversations, and the moments that matter most.

Something happens when a leadership team gets the right conditions to think together. Things that have been stuck for months start to loosen. People say what they've actually been thinking. The room finds a rhythm it didn't have an hour ago. This is the work I love most.

What this work makes possible

With the right time, the right design, and someone helping them work at the level they're capable of, the room changes.

People stop being careful and start being useful. Disagreement becomes generative. The team arrives at something they couldn't have reached alone. It's a different kind of work than teams usually get.

Why most facilitation doesn't change this

Most facilitation manages the room without changing what happens in it.

Agendas get followed. Notes get taken. Items get moved to a parking lot that nobody returns to. The team leaves with a deck and a sense of momentum that fades by the next Monday.

The gap is in what the facilitator is actually doing. Capturing isn't the same as catalyzing. Running a process isn't the same as working with what the team brings into the room.

When tension shows up, we use it. When something important is going unsaid, I name it.

What this work is

Facilitation that works at the level the team is actually operating on.

I design every engagement around the outcome — what people need to be thinking, feeling, and doing differently when they leave the room. The design holds the shape; what happens inside it responds to what's emerging.

My role is to create the conditions for the team's best thinking to surface, and to work with what's in the room when it does. When the team is converging too quickly, I open it back up so the real thinking can happen.

The work is rigorous and it's also genuinely good time spent together. Heavy material doesn't have to feel heavy. Teams do their best thinking when they're engaged, a little stretched, and enjoying each other.

How it works

Designed backwards from the outcome the leader is trying to create.

01

Scope

A working session with the team leader to clarify what this offsite needs to produce — and what would make it a waste of time.

02

Design

A custom arc built around those outcomes. No template, no recycled agenda.

03

Pre-work

Interviews or short prep with team members where useful, so the room starts further along.

04

Facilitate

Two days (typical) of structured but responsive work. I hold the shape and work with what emerges.

05

Recap

A synthesis of what surfaced, what was decided, and what the team committed to — written to be useful, not archival.

Engagements range from a single offsite to a journey of three sessions across the year, depending on what the team is working on.

What teams come in working on

The presenting work

Visioning and strategic direction. Operating norms and how the team works together. Trust and repair after change. Alignment on priorities that have started to fragment. Newly formed teams establishing how they'll lead together.

What shifts

What teams leave with

Clarity on where the team is headed and why. Alignment that's real, not performed. Stronger connection across people who need to lead together. Shared ownership that holds up after the offsite ends — and often, solutions that wouldn't have surfaced without the conditions to let them.

Who this is for

Leadership teams of six to fifteen, at the executive or senior leader level.

Best fit: teams navigating something that matters — a new strategy, a reorg, a stretch of growth, a shift in how they need to operate together.

  • Executive & senior teams
  • 6–15 people
  • Single offsite or 3-session journey
  • At a turning point
